I’m giving it five stars because it’s great for the age group it targets. I bought the book for my girls (ages 10 and 11) for summer reading. Both girls are not quick to pick up a book and started off slow reading it but by the third chapter they were hooked. They even read the preview for the next in the series. They loved the characters and thought the story was funny and interesting. I myself read the book and though I wouldn’t say the book is great for adults, it was enjoyable. The story starts off slow but by the third/fourth chapter it moves more quickly. The writer quickly develops his characters but I’m looking forward to seeing more interaction between the two main characters in their new roles. The book is humorous and does not follow a typical storyline or ending. I would definitely recommend it for upper elementary kids especially those that don’t typically read.Product details

My wife and I love fairy tales and fantasy (her Harry Potter, me LOTR), so we actually read this book together. It was surprisingly witty and had us both cracking up at points!

Fantastic read. Both I and my kids loved reading it. My kids are early teenagers and loved reading this book. I would recommend for any adult and kids above maybe 8 years old. It has a great story line and easily pulls you in. I am intentionally trying to be vague because if I tried to be specific I fear I might spoil the story. Just trust me its good.
I found this to be an interesting read with good movement, easy to enjoy and a good lesson to absorb. Great for tweens and teens.
